Report terms of use and disclaimer

Applies to all reports generated by Carvizia

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The French version is the only legally binding text.

Article 1 — Preamble and Nature of the Service

This report (the “Report”) is a digital document generated automatically by a data aggregation system and analysed by algorithms and artificial intelligence. The service provided is a purely informational, digital service. Its sole purpose is to summarise public and third-party information about a specific vehicle to help the user with their research. It is in no way a vehicle inspection, a certificate of condition or investment advice. The provider has never seen, inspected or physically tested the vehicle concerned.

Article 2 — Best-Efforts Obligation and Data Reliability

The provider is bound by a strict best-efforts obligation regarding the collection and processing of data, but accepts no obligation of result. The information in the Report (registration history, mileage, claims, options, technical data) is taken from third-party databases, partner platforms or public listings. It is provided “as is”. The provider cannot independently verify its accuracy, truthfulness or completeness. Consequently, any error, omission or falsification at the source (for example an accident not declared to insurers or clocked mileage leaving no digital trace) cannot engage the provider's liability.

Article 3 — Limits of Automation and Artificial Intelligence

The user expressly acknowledges and accepts that the Report is generated using automated technologies and artificial intelligence. Although these technologies are designed to identify anomalies or inconsistencies, they have technical limits. The Report may contain “false positives” (flagging a problem that does not exist) or “false negatives” (failing to flag a real problem). The AI's interpretation of the data is provided for information only and must be reviewed critically by the user.

Article 4 — Full Disclaimer of Liability for the Transaction

Buying, selling or leasing a used vehicle is a legal and financial act that is the sole responsibility of the user. The provider is entirely external to any transaction concluded after reading the Report. The provider accepts no liability, whether contractual or non-contractual, for any direct or indirect, material or immaterial damage resulting from the use of the information in this Report, including but not limited to:

  • Buying a vehicle with hidden defects or mechanical, electronic or structural faults, whether or not mentioned in the Report.
  • A financial loss related to the vehicle being overvalued or depreciating.
  • The cancellation of a sale or subsequent disputes with a seller (trade or private).
  • Repair, towing or downtime costs arising after the vehicle is bought.

Article 5 — The Buyer's Obligations and Due Diligence

The user must exercise due diligence before any vehicle transaction. The Report never exempts the buyer from their basic checks. We strongly and formally recommend that the user:

  • Carries out a thorough visual inspection of the inside and outside of the vehicle.
  • Takes a long test drive in varied traffic conditions.
  • Has the vehicle inspected on a ramp, at their own expense, by a professional mechanic or approved vehicle inspector before buying.
  • Checks that all original documents are consistent and genuine (registration document, finance and write-off check, service history, invoices, roadworthiness test history).

Article 6 — Acceptance of the Terms

Paying for the order and/or viewing the Report constitutes full, complete and unreserved acceptance of these terms and limits of liability. If the user does not accept these terms, they are asked not to use our services or rely on our documents to complete a transaction.
